TRAVEL INFORMATION AND ACCOMMODATION

The activities of the 15th International School on Quantum Electronics will take place in Burgas, which is the second-largest city on the Bulgarian Black Sea Coast. Surrounded by the coastal Burgas Lakes and located at the westernmost point of the Black Sea, the large Burgas Bay, Burgas has the largest and most important Bulgarian port. Today, it is a key economic, cultural and tourist centre of southeastern Bulgaria.

The city of Bourgas is connected by regular or chartered flights to many European cities directly or via Sofia. Railroad and long-distance coach services from Sofia are also available.

the Hotel

Participants will be accommodated in Aqua hotel - http://www.aquahotels.com/. This 3-stars comfortable tourist class hotel offer special rates for our event, starting from € 40 per day in a single room. Meals will be available at approximately € 15 per day. Booking requests of the School participants must be send to the Organizers of the XV ISQE.

An excellent range of cafe, restaurants, taverns, etc. is also available in the hotel surroundings.

Climate:

September is usually warm at the Bulgarian Black Sea coast. The temperature varies between 20° − 25°C during the day and 10° − 15°C at night. The water temperature is close to 20°C. To feel comfortable, visitors are advised to bring both swimming-suits and sweaters.
